Erika Lincoln
Describe yourself: Who you are and
what you're doing?
I am an artist focusing in electronic arts, I build kinetic sculpture, sound pieces, and interactive installations. I base my work on the communications and control systems from robotics.
How did your interest in robots / robotics start?
My background is sculpture. I have always been a builder and have always had a fascination with movement. The great thing about robotics for me is that it allows you to think about movement through space over time.

What kind of actions needs to be done in the community
to increase the interest and the awareness of robots /
robotics?
Robotics and control systems are everywhere, but they are mostly
hidden. Placing robotic art in galleries can help expose people to
how ubiquitous robotics are. It is funny that kids understand it
but adults seem to forget.
If you have any closing remarks or comments about robots /
robotics, then go ahead.
