Vive Les Robots! organizes guided tours about robots and artificial creatures in Prague and surrounding area for individuals and groups.

In the period between the first of Marts and to the first of December 2012, it is possible for you to participate in a Vive Les Robots! "robot" walking tour in Prague, trip to Skoda, Karel Capek Museum, or the Spejbl & Hurvinek Theatre. In the bottom of the page you can read more about our offers.

Because the firm offers lectures, courses, creating marketing materials (Vive Les Graphiques), and publish articles on robots, robotics and robot-related-stuff, it is important that you order the robot walk or a robot trip in advance, so that Vive Les Robots! quickly can provide a feedback about it is able to arrange the walk or trip on the day you wished.

When you order a walk, or one of our tours, please give Vive Les Robots! your name, address and telephone number. Vive Les Robots! will then contact you the day before by phone. The settlement is always in Czech koruna / Euro.

In addition, we begin our trips on time! If you are detained after you have ordered, you should cancel the order, one day before the arrangement. Which Vive Les Robots! also will do if something unexpected occurs.

Robots and artificial creatures in Prague


Time: 9.45 - 12.00 (This is an approx. time).
Meetingplace: At the big sculpture of Jan Hus (who stands on Staromestské námestí / Old Town Square)
Days: In theory all day in the week between first of Marts to the first of December 2012*
Transportation: By foot.
Food-Drinks: It is not included in the price.
Price: 300 Koruna / 12 Euro for each person** For groups contact Vive Les Robots!***

In the robot walk, you will get the experience of following:
The Astronomical Clock
(which is a fine example of robotics art from medieval times)
The Old-New Synagogue (where the artificial creature Golem is buried)
The Old Jewish Cemetery (where the creator of Golem is buried)
The Statue of Rabbi Loew (the creator of Golem)
Charles Bridge (With many 'artificial personalities', who are portrayed in the sculptures).
David Cerny's interactive sculpture 'Piss'
The Memorial to the victims of communism.
The House where the Capek brothers lived when RUR (where the word robot comes from) was written.
Cafe Savoy (where we will drink a cup of coffee).
The National Theatre (where the play RUR was performed for the first time in 1921).
Two buildings where the Czech animation film industry was based in 'the golden ages' (in the second half of 1900-century).
The Black Madonna (which is a cubistic building, where you can see paintings by Josef Capek and many others)
The Metronome (A kinetic sculpture).

*Since Vive Les Robots! offers lectures, courses, creating marketing materials (Vive Les Graphiques), and publish articles on robots, robotics and robot-related-stuff, it is important that you order the robot walk or a robot trip in advance, so that Vive Les Robots! quickly can provide a feedback about it is able to arrange the walk or trip on the day you wished.** The robot walk takes only place, if two or more people who have signed up. Or, if one person is willing to pay 600 koruna / 24 Euro. *** Vive Les Robots! are happy to guide a large group of people. But there may be too many persons on the robot walk. Skoda


Time: 8 am. - 3 pm. (This is an approx. time)
Meetingplace: At the entrance to the Central Station (in the middle of the park. Be precise, because the train runs)

Transportation: By train and by foot.
Food-Drinks: It is not included in the price.
Price: 1100 Koruna / 44 Euro for each person**

During the trip to Skoda, you will get the experience of following:
A guided tour of Skoda's production
Skoda Museum
A lunch at a local restaurant
A train ride round trip

Karel Capek Museum


Tid: 8 am. - 2 pm. (This is an approx. time)
Mødested: At the main entrance to the station in Praha Smichov.

Mad-Drikke: It is not included in the price.
Pris: 1000 Koruna / 40 Euro for each person**

During the trip to the Karel Capek Museum you will get the experience of following:
A guided tour inside the building where Karel Capek and his wife Olga Scheinpflug lived.
A cup of coffee / water and a cake in the museum.
A train ride round trip.

Spejbl & Hurvinek Theatre


Time: 6 pm. - 9 pm. (This is an approx. time)
Meetingplace: Inside Starometska Metro Station at the ticket machines.
Days: In theory, every Wednesday evenings in the theater season 2012*
Transportation: In subways and by foot.
Food-Drinks: A coffee / A water.
Price: 500 Koruna / 20 Euro for each person**

During the trip to the Spejbl & Hurvinek Puppet Theatre, you will get the experience of following:
An authentic puppet play in Czech with the people dear dolls Spejbl & Hurvinek.

A cup of coffee / water in the café Kabinet.
A subway train ride round trip.

*Since Vive Les Robots! also offers lectures, courses, creating marketing materials (Vive Les Graphiques), and publish articles on robots, robotics and robot-related-stuff, it is important that you order the robot walk or a robot trip in advance, so that Vive Les Robots! quickly can provide a feedback about it is able to arrange the walk or trip on the day you wished. Because it is a puppet play, which may being sold out, it is a requirement that you order at least a month before.**The trip is only implemented if there is a minimum of two people who have signed up. Or, if one person is willing to pay 1000 koruna / 40 Euro. The price includes subways tickets, entrance, and a coffee/a water. In addition, half of the amount shall be paid within one week before the play date. Othervise Vive Les Robots! will invalidate the agreement.
