Challenge (III+IV): Roboexotica
A clip about the annual event Roboexotica, the worldwide leading festival for Cocktail-Robotics, organized by the Austrian artist groups Shifz, monochrom and the Bureau für Philosophie.
Money:
"I would say, first, money: there's always too many ideas, too
many things to do, for the money we can raise. Like, for the last
nine-ten years we mainly funded the event by money from the city
government, the art council of the City, which is a very modest
amount. So very soon we must convert our half-assed attempts to get
sponsoring into something real. But we've always managed somehow to
put on the next Roboexotica, even without much money. There's just
too much enthusiasm in everybody involved to not make it happen, I
would say. So the challenge money, it's a big challenge, but
it's manageable I would say".
Locations:
"Another challenge that we've faced in the last two years was to
find a location. Because like in 2009, the place we used in 2009,
just wasn't there the next year, so we needed to look for another
place. Just at the right point in time, another location popped up,
which fit pretty nicely for last year's event. And for reasons this
isn't available this year. So, just two weeks ago we found our
location that's going to be a perfect match, I think, again.
Somehow things fall into face so often, with cocktailrobotics it
seems we are blessed by the gods of strong spirits".
